Subject:Missing mailmen and shrinking house
Time:12:15 pm
Hi, I am having alot of trouble remembering a story I once read and I was wondering if it might sound familiar to anyone. I originally thought this story might be by Stephen King. The story is about a mailman who moves to a new city for a new job. This particular town has had three mailmen in as many months. No one knew what happened to the missing mailmen. The new mailman soon encounters a house on his route that he doesn't want to go near. It is the last house on a dead end street. Every day that he sees the house it appears to be getting smaller and smaller. I remember that he discovers that the mailmen all disappear because of this house. At the end the mailman disappears with the house. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me save my sanity.

Was there a picture of Stephen King on one of his back covers/dust jackets where he is sort of slumped over in a corner, if so what book is it from? I thought I remembered something along those lines but I'm having trouble finding it.

So yup, I've also got a new fanfic I'm working on at FanFiction.net

Title: Another When

Posted Under: Books/Stand

Rating: M

Word Count: 32,629 & growing

Summary: AU, OC, some Dark Tower allusions. Hurt/Comfort theme. I thought this up about 20 yrs ago, when I read The Stand Uncut. Recently, I was inspired to revisit it. Basically, this is my attempt to change the course of the action, especially Nick's outcome, with the introduction of a new character. I hope she's not too Mary Sue, but she probably is.

Above, I'm being critical. The few reviews I've had have been positive. I'm posting here in the hopes that I might get some more feedback.

BEST ARTWORK EVER!

Title: Closing the game
Fandom: The girl who loved Tom Gordon
Words: 862
Summary: Trisha's life after returning from the woods. Growing up and all that has never left her.
Disclaimer: Characters belong to Stephen King.
Author's Note: I hope it's okay to post fan-fic here since I haven't seen anyone do it. "The girl who loved Tom Gordon" is my favorite book by Stephen King, so I was trying to work a little with the symbolism used in the novel.

So McFarland, which way...Collapse )
